  1. I have mitigated all warnings and most errors. All there is missing is the 2 libc errors. The rest are all resolved. I also updated the source/format to 3.0 (native) instead of 1.0. Copyright and line length limit warnings have all been addressed as well as all the version warnings.

    I have been working with sfwbar for more than 2 months now, it had 1 error and LBCrion fixed it within a few days. Right now I consider it in a good testing stage but to be sure, I'd leave it as unstable for the time being for further people to test on their end. If no issues are found, I'm confident to say this is now in testing stage.

    I would not put it yet in stable, but to me it is very close to it. The only problem is I do not work with the tray area, notifications and workspaces so having a greater number of people with those specific needs would be welcomed to confirm it's upgrade from unstable to testing and maybe stable.

    The problem with the existing beta13, it's very basic and lacks a lot of features and bug corrections now corrected in beta17 which is why I am working on pushing this new deb package. I am in active discussions with LBCrion on GitHub and a lot of issues have been addressed as well as very welcomed new features.

  2. Okay, so I've got confirmation from LBCrion that the libc errors are false positives, see github discussion page for more details: https://github.com/LBCrion/sfwbar/discussions. I will change my package and upload a new version of the package with all issues corrected once I have tested it properly. I also installed lintian so I can detect the errors before uploading the package here.

  3. it's been 3 versions I am trying to upload and I keey getting the same email all the sime:

    ===== Email Message =====
    Hello,

    Unfortunately your package "sfwbar" was rejected
    because of the following reason:

    Dsc is invalid

    sfwbar_1.0~beta17.orig.tar.xz is missing from upload

    Please try to fix it and re-upload. Thanks,
    =====

    I tried dpkg'ing with and without the "-sa". I've put my .orig package in the parent folder, inside the same folder, dput just never detects the file, no matter what I do! I'm ready to upload the corrected version and I have it since beta-1, but now at beta-3 and I cannot get dput to include the orig file it requests and that is present!

  4. I think I went maybe 1 step too far. I submit the pbuilder files and not the dpkg-buildpackage files. I checked the .changes files and the pbuilder files never have the orig files listed in their changes file.

  5. I got the debian package up and running. I've sent beta17-5 which includes all the necessary files for propper checkup. I just did not get the email confirming the reception of the file on your end yet.

    All warnings and errors have been taken care of.

  6. LBCrion has stated that the version should stay in the "unstable" status for now. Confirmed on the GitHub Discussion section. So yes, please keep the version as "unstable" not yet for testing. He mentions about window previews:

    QUOTE from LBCrion: "...There are still configuration file changes planned to accommodate window previews..."

    This upload for 1.0~beta17-5 is as solid as beta13 (which already exists on Debian's repositories) and is well fit to replace it.
