The lintian on mentors appears older than current sid lintian. Lintian 2.143.0 on sid (--pedantic, run on the source .changes) reports none of these four tags for this source package. - debhelper-but-no-misc-depends: the package uses debhelper-compat 14, where dh_gencontrol applies relationship substvars automatically, so ${misc:Depends} no longer needs to be listed. debhelper-compat-upgrade-checklist(7) documents this as causing false positives in lintian versions without support (#1067653). The built python3-cobs Depends are correct. - recommended-field (Priority): omitted on purpose. dpkg >= 1.22.13 defaults to optional, and current lintian reports an explicit Priority: optional as redundant. - package-uses-experimental-debhelper-compat-version: compat 14 is the level recommended by current lintian, which flags compat 13 as outdated. - missing-debian-watch-file-standard: debian/watch starts with "Version: 5", and uscan parses it correctly.
