Thank you for your message.

Regarding the update to the emacs-pg-el package, I adopted it as a new maintainer since it was orphaned. I updated the Standards-Version to 4.7.0 and the debhelper compatibility to version 13. Additionally, I added a fake debian/watch file to reflect the absence of upstream tarballs and included an autopkgtest to verify basic functionality.

Currently, there is no bug report or merge request (MR) associated with this update. The changes have been documented in the debian/changelog, and I’m open to discussing any additional feedback or suggestions.

  3. Hi Leonardo,

The process would be:

* Change the Orphan bug (1017880) to an Intent To Adopt (ITA).
* Do the package update you have done, also adding yourself to 'Uploaders' in 'd/control'.
* Closing the now ITA bug in the changelog, to show new ownership.
