hi, > This is a fork of a fork it doesn't matter if it's a fork of a fork of a fork [..] or original code: copyright holder & license grants are documented the same way in both cases. If there is something you think I did wrong with d/copyright, can you please be more specific ? br, Sébastien

Sebastien, My query is based on the project licenses going backwards. https://github.com/DaemonEngine/crunch/blob/master/license.txt - zlib https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/crunch/blob/master/license.txt - zlib https://github.com/BinomialLLC/crunch/blob/master/license.txt - public domain as of 15-09-2020. The change by the original project may have come after one or more of the forks. So which license applies, just a query? Regards Phil

Hi Phil, I'm well aware of that commit https://github.com/BinomialLLC/crunch/commit/57353fa9ac0908893215bc30ba106adfb80c4c95 from Sept 2020 But the software was forked ages before it. That change doesn't have any retroactive effect. The original zlib license still applies to the code of the fork. br, Sébastien
