Has there been any progress with this backport. The version has been since updated in 'testing/trixie'.

Is there an appetite to move forward with this submission or it it time to remove it from Debian Mentors?

  3. Hi Phil, only just now figured out how to reply to these comments :P

This particular backport is rather outdated, a new one should probably be done. The maintainer of the package is still active though, and mentioned that there were potential footguns to be aware of, so I think I would leave it to him to decide what to do with this next. I can redo the backport if he's interested in it being done.
