The simple one is:

please see: man uscan-templates

After update d/watch, please rm old awf-gtk_4.1.0*tar.gz ,
then use uscan -v to get your upstream source code awf-gtk_4.1.0.orig.tar.gz from github again,
then rebuild.

From tracker.debian.org: The package should be updated to follow the last version of Debian Policy (Standards-Version 4.7.4 instead of 4.7.3).

From someone, for debian-watch-file-is-missing, I have understood that I can use "Archive: GitHub" in upstream/metadata.

From lintian, redundant-priority-optional-field for Priority.

1. For d/changelog, only record one entry "New upstream release" in not enough, it should record other changes in debian directory.

use uscan --update-watchfile to update d/watch to Version: 5.

use uscan -v to check new version d/watch.

You can't use "Archive: GitHub" in upstream/metadata  to replace d/watch.
