Hi Phil, This is the last version of rocblas that will include librocblas0. Any future version will introduce breakages in rdepends (like rocsolver) due to API/ABI changes. I want to enable the rocblas benchmark client to help in maintaining the Ubuntu 24.04 version of this package. This rocblas release has very performance on MI200 due to some of the Debian patches, which we may try to address in a stable release update. I was hoping for one final compatible package update before we move the whole compute stack to ROCm 6.1/6.2 [1]. I submitted this package for review to the Debian ROCm Team, and I will be updating it based on their feedback before requesting an upload. Sincerely, Cory Bloor [1]: https://salsa.debian.org/rocm-team/community/team-project/-/wikis/rocm-6.1-release-plan

s/very performance/poor performance/ (The rocblas patch causing the poor performance on MI200 was required due to the exclusion of some kernels for DFSG reasons. I deleted entire files worth of hardware-specialized kernels to get the library working after the exclusion, but a much more fined-grained patch could be created with the right tooling. The kernels are referenced by index, so the whole solution file needs to be reindexed when you remove one kernel...)
