    I am not a Debian Developer and cannot offer to sponsor but have a few suggestions.

    Your package has not yet made it to Debian, so in your changelog, you can
    simply pretend that the 0.4-1, 0.4-2, and 0.4-3 releases never happened.
    You don't need to start documenting your changes in the changelog until
    they actually reach Debian. Having just the following single entry is
    totally sufficient:

    joycond (0.4.1-1) unstable; urgency=medium

      * Initial release (Closes: #986486)

     -- Witherking25 <witherking@withertech.com>  Mon, 05 Apr 2021 19:10:15 -0500

    You should generally wrap your lines for the long description in debian/control;
    notice show the long description for, say, dpkg doesn't go all the way out to
    the edges of your screen. I see this is because the description was copied and
    pasted from upstream.

    In general, you can use the long description as a place to be more verbose, like
    explain what a Joy-Con is, what it means to pair them together, why someone would
    want to do this, and what a virtual controller is. The information on how to use
    the package is better suited to a README.

    It's a trademark so you need to be careful with what you say, but you should use
    proper capitalization and punctuation when referring to Joy-Cons. Be careful to
    not make the package appear official or endorsed by Nintendo, but merely
    compatible with their products.

    Your changelog says the version is 0.4.1, but the newest (and in fact, the only)
    version released upstream is 0.1.0. Where did the source code come from? I see,
    however, that you've asked upstream to be better about making releases, but you
    shouldn't make up version numbers. If it's a Git snapshot, there are various
    versioning schemes you can choose from.

    The AppStream metadata has this line:
    	  <metadata_license>GPL-3+</metadata_license>

    Using copyleft licenses for the metadata is strongly discouraged and not
    officially supported by the AppStream specification.

    The move-systemd-service patch still has a bunch of boilerplate and fields
    you need to fill in:
    Description: <short summary of the patch>
     TODO: Put a short summary on the line above and replace this paragraph
     with a longer explanation of this change. Complete the meta-information
     with other relevant fields (see below for details). To make it easier, the
     information below has been extracted from the changelog. Adjust it or drop
     it.

    You should follow the directions in that file to add patch metadata.
