  1. I can't sponsor the upload, but I have a couple of suggestions:
    1. The unit description has 'Update cron periods from /etc/sysconfig/btrfsmaintenance', but it should be /etc/default/btrfsmaintenance on Debian (or some better description)
    2. In README.Debian you mention both enabling the service and adding a symlink to /etc/cron.hourly, yet later you write "Running the refresh-cron script is required on Debian or Debian-like systems that do not use systemd." I think it would be clearer if the distinction between systemd and non-systemd systems was somewhere closer to activation instructions.
    3. Is there any reason why the symlink is supposed to be created with:
    cd /etc/cron.hourly && \
    ln -s ../../usr/share/btrfsmaintenance/btrfsmaintenance-refresh-cron.sh \
        ./
    and not just:
    ln -s /usr/share/btrfsmaintenance/btrfsmaintenance-refresh-cron.sh /etc/cron.hourly

    ?
