This section describes how to export a map as an image, a PDF,
or interactive-fiction source code using the File menu's
Export submenu.
PDF... writes the map to a PDF file, and
Image (PNG/JPEG/BMP)... writes it to an
image.
The Export submenu also writes the map as source code for six
interactive-fiction systems: ZIL (Infocom /
ZILF), Inform 7, Inform 6, Alan, Quest 5, and Quest 5 (rooms
only).
For Inform 7 you can name either a single .ni source file or an Inform project folder ending in
.inform; in the second case the source is
written to Source/Story.ni inside that
folder, ready to open in the Inform IDE.
The generated source uses the map's title, or the map's file name if it has no title. A map that has never been saved is exported as "A Trizbort Map". Rooms with no region are written as regionless in every format, and quotation marks and other characters that are special in the target language are escaped in names and descriptions.
The File menu's Export to Clipboard
submenu offers the same six formats, but copies the generated
source to the clipboard instead of writing a file.
You can also produce every code format from the command line without opening the editor; see §12 (Command-line usage).
