This section describes the Map
Properties dialog and the tabs of the Map
Settings dialog, both on the Edit menu.
Map Properties... opens the Map Properties dialog, which records the map's
Title, Author,
Description, and History.
Map Settings... opens the Map Settings dialog, which has six tabs: Colors, Grid & Lines,
Rooms, Fonts,
Advanced, and Regions.
Colors tab sets the colors used
throughout the map.Grid & Lines tab sets the
Grid size, Show
grid, Snap to grid, Show origin, Line width,
Arrow size, and Text
offset.Rooms tab sets defaults for new
rooms, such as the Default room name and
Default room shape.Fonts tab chooses the
Room name font, Subtitle
font, Object list font, and
Connection text font.Advanced tab sets the
Handle size, Snap-to-element distance, whether to Use document-specific margins (with a Horizontal margin and Vertical
margin), and Wrap text at
dashes.Regions tab manages the map's
regions.Restore Default Map Settings on the
Tools menu returns these settings to their defaults.
Application Settings... on the Tools
menu edits per-user preferences that are stored on the computer
rather than in the map.
